Performer Rules, Terms & Conditions

By applying to perform with Electra Productions Inc. (“Electra”), all applicants agree to comply with the performer rules as laid out below. Electra and their Organizers reserve the right to withdraw an applicant from any show in case of non-compliance without compensation or advance notice to the performer.

General

  1. Performers must arrive at the venue at their allocated time on the day of the show.
  2. Performers must ensure they have warmed up and stretched properly prior to performing.
  3. Performances must adhere to the time limits of no more than 5 minutes.
  4. Any significant changes to the performance as described in the application are not permitted without Organizer approval. Performers should alert the Organizer if there will be a clean-up required after their performance, and must gain Organizer approval.
  5. Performers are expected to treat each other, staff of the Venue, and Electra staff and volunteers with respect before, during and after the performance.
  6. By submitting an application, performers acknowledge their agreement with the “Photo & Video Policy” below.
  7. All applicants must read and sign the “Waiver of Liability” below as part of their application.

Alcohol Consumption

Please note that performers must not consume alcohol or any prohibited substance prior to performing at the venue. At all times, performers are expected to comply with applicable laws in relation to consumption of alcohol and controlled substances.

Exotic Dance Performers

Electra Productions celebrates and welcomes all forms of pole artistry, including exotic and sensual pole performances. Our events are 19+; performers are expected to be a minimum age of 19. However, we do not allow full nudity at our events. All performers are expected to have their genitals covered all times. They are also expected to comply with the BC Liquor Control and Licensing Act, Regulations, and conditions that relate to special events regarding exotic dance performers. Photo & Video Policy

  1. Performers should be aware that they may be photographed or videoed during their performance.
  2. The performer acknowledges that photos or video may be published by the Organizers.
  3. The performer releases all rights or claims over any photos or videos, and acknowledges that such material is the property of and can be used by the Organizers for promotional or other uses, without compensation to the competitor.
  4. Performers may film their own performances and are free to use them as they see fit.

Waiver Of Liability & Agreement

  1. I, the undersigned performer (the “Performer”), acknowledge and accept that Electra Productions Inc. (“Electra”) and its owners and staff (the Organizers), their directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchisees (“Related Parties”) and Electra and its owners staff and agents, including but not limited to the Victoria Event Centre (the “Venue”), their directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchisees (“Venue Related Parties”) are not responsible for injury or damage resulting from participation in Coven Cabaret: A Showcase of Emerging Pole Artists, to be held on May 22, 2020 at the Venue in Victoria, British Columbia (the “Show”), including the Performer’s arrival and departure from the Show.
  2. The Performer acknowledges that pole dance is a dangerous activity and as such the Performer voluntarily accepts the risks associated with participating in the Show.
  3. The Performer acknowledges they have read and understood Electra Productions’ document entitled “Performer Rules, Terms & Conditions” (the “Rules”), and specifically acknowledges they have read the Rules relating to alcohol consumption and safe preparation for performance (safe warm up, etc.).
  4. The Performer agrees not consume alcohol, prohibited substances, or any other substance that may cause impairment of any kind prior to their performance at the Venue. The Performer agrees not to perform impaired. The Performer agrees to comply with applicable laws in relation to consumption of alcohol and controlled substances.
  5. The Performer waives to the fullest extent permitted by law all legal rights of action against and fully release the Venue and Venue Related Parties and the Organizers and Related Parties for the loss, damages, or injury howsoever arising out of or in relation to the participation by the Performers in the activities conducted or organized by the Organizers and Related Parties including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission, breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty on the part of the Organizers or Related Parties.
